GSnider Back from Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico with Photos to Share
July 27, 2012
GSnider and his family spent a week at the Grand Luxxe in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. "My goodness, they are doing a lot of work there!" A direct quote. Although he found the construction annoying at times, he added he is pleased to see progress taking place on the plans the sales team described for him. There is no question that the changes taking place are exciting. Enjoy!
(COMMENTS - PROPERTY MAPS)
- Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta encompasses about 2,000 acres, from Jarreteras on the north to Las Juntas on the south east border to portions of the Boca de Tomates Road on the southwest border.
- Plans include:
- Four golf courses
- A hotel open to the public
- A train that connects the area closest to Highway 200, called Celebration with the resorts on the property
- Many other features that are highlighted on the maps
(COMMENTS - EASTERLY VIEW)
- There is a new "Convention Center" under construction to the left of the Palacio Maya (as you look at it from the Grand Mayan). This new facility could be used for any number of events. (First photo from the left, below.)
- There is a new structure extending from the Palacio Maya toward the Grand Mayan. (Second and third photos from the left, below.)
- The island in front of Grand Luxxe III A and B is no more. Instead, it is now a peninsula. (Fourth photo from the left, below.)
- Construction of Grand Luxxe IV A and B and V: IV A is working on the eight and ninth floors, IV B is on the first floor, and V is not clearly evident. (Fourth photo from the left, below.)
(COMMENTS - WESTERLY VIEW)
- The Center Tower of the Mayan Palace is now five stories. The area in front of the MP looks ready to become a series of entrances. (First photo from the left.)
- The highest units at the north end of the north tower are open to the air and changing. There is no foliage around the base of this end building, and the foundation is exposed. (First and second photos from the left.)
- The walkways to the peninsula in front of the MP and from the GB are gone. Could it be there will be a new walkway connecting our favorite sitting place on the Red Rock outcropping to the peninsula to access the new GB pool area? (Second and third photos from the left, below.)
- The new GB pool area. (Second through fourth photos from the left.)
The newest area available to Members of the Grand Luxxe Residence Club are the Punta pools, the Punta lounge and full service restaurant. What a great facility!
